Biography
When and Where?Collette Dinnigan was born in South Africa on the 24th of September 1965, age 49. After living in Africa she moved to New Zealand where she graduated from a fashion design course. Then she moved to Australia and joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in the costume department. Here she chose the outfits for people that were reporting and she loved it because she was learning a lot about the fashion and what people liked to wear. This was when she realized that she wanted to create her own style.

What and How?After working in the costume department at ABC she decided to open her own shop which pursued her dream to become a fashion designer. In 1992 her shop opened on William St in Sydney's Paddington. In 1995 she was awarded the first Australian to launch a "ready to wear" parade in Paris.This was very exciting for her. After winning her award people started noticing her and how her work was amazing. She was offered a brand deal in 2002 by Marks and Spencer and became a very well known Australian fashion designer. Now she has her own child named Estella and she is working on a bridal and glasses collection.
